Hans Joachim Fröhlich explains the importance of the exhibition.

At the Global Forum 2026, Endress+Hauser provided exclusive insights into its work on product innovations. Why did you decide to take this step?

Endress+Hauser brings products to market that are often in use at our customers’ sites for 15 to 20 years. That is why we need to anticipate developments in the various industries we serve many years in advance. The Global Forum brings together decision-makers and experts from around the world and across seven industries. Through direct and intensive conversation with them, we gain an even better understanding of their individual needs and challenges, enabling us to develop products that offer them real added value over the long term.

What is Endress+Hauser currently working on?

Two areas of focus are in-line quality measurement and digital technology. In-line quality measurement eliminates the need for lab testing, provides real-time transparency into processes and thereby reduces waste. This involves multiparameter measurements, new ultrasound technology and the further development of Raman spectroscopy. This optical method allows for the continuous determination of the chemical composition of materials. In terms of digitalization, we are working on digital calibration certificates, standardized digital twins and software-defined automation. We are also using algorithms to extract even more value from the data collected by our sensors for new functions.

What feedback have you received from customers?

Our willingness to showcase very early-stage innovations and prototypes at the Global Forum 2026 has been greatly appreciated. Customers have particularly emphasized that the innovations we presented are closely aligned with their real-world challenges – such as in the areas of quality assurance, efficiency, digitalization, AI and calibration. When it comes to digitalization and AI, customers are curious and willing to embrace new concepts when the benefits are clear. In general, much of the feedback went beyond mere interest and led directly to concrete test requests or project ideas.
