The customer's requirements
Construction of such plants is no ordinary challenge as working with sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda requires more stringent safety precautions. Therefore a risk analysis was first commissioned which would serve as the basis for the project. The project also included full automation of all processes. Brenntag Schweizerhall AG chose Endress+Hauser (Schweiz) AG as the supplier for the measurement instrumentation and automation technology.

All aspects of the automation concept had to be implemented. The task was to manage the processes reliably based on the risk analysis carried out and to design the plant in such a way that operation is easy. The plant is operated via 8 local stations as well as from Brenntag Schweizerhall AG's headquarters in Basel.
